Masons laid the block walls for the elevator shaft and the support columns for the new foyer area. A picture of the progress is included below. The foundation and concrete pad of the vestibule and the base of the elevator shaft have been poured. As the weather clears up, masons will begin laying the block walls for the elevator shaft. The project remains approximately on schedule, with minor delays due to the rain over the past few weeks.
Beginning Wednesday June 30, 2022, until further notice, Public Access to the Maple Heights City Hall will be through the front entrance of the City Hall building only. The front entrance provides a touchless automatic door opener for persons with disabilities.
Construction on the City Hall Vestibule and Elevator Project will begin Monday June 28th with the preliminary work required to provide ADA access to the front entrance of City Hall. Once the automatic door opening system is installed on the front entrance the side entrance to the City Hall will be closed until mid September.
