The Architectural Review Board serves as an advisory board to the Planning and Zoning Commission, reviewing commercial projects with a total project cost of more than $500,000 and other projects the Commission believes need to be reviewed. The Board reviews and makes recommendations on the design, site location, and materials used to construct a structure. Board meetings are scheduled for the fourth Wednesday of each month at 7:00p and meet when there are matters referred to the Board by the Planning and Zoning Commission. Current Board members are R. Kevin Madison, Ron DiNardo, and Mike Wildermuth.
Duties of the Board
The Architectural Review Board is charged with reviewing applications to:
- Ensure that new development and redevelopment are compatible and harmonious with the existing overall character of the City;
- Strengthen, enhance, and improve the existing visual and aesthetic character of the City; and
- Maintain a high design character of community development and ensure the compatibility of new development.
