The City’s Community Reinvestment Area (CRA) is an economic development tool that provides for real property tax exemptions for property owners who renovate existing or construct new buildings. Duties of the Council
Ohio Revised Code requires the formation of the Housing Council whose duties include making an annual inspection of the properties within the community reinvestment area for which an exemption has been granted and hearing any appeal on and may overrule any decision of a housing officer regarding tax exemptions made under Ohio Revised Code 3735.65 – 3735.69.
