General Program Guidelines

• The property must be the owner’s primary residence
• Homeowners must be current on property taxes or on a payment plan
• Any cost over the grant award is the homeowner’s responsibility
• All work must be done by a registered contractor and any required permits must be pulled before work begins
• The project is ineligible if the repair work has started before the grant is awarded
• All City Grant payments must be made directly to the contractor
• Only one grant application per household will be accepted
• Incomplete applications will not be considered
• The grant amount must go towards fixing a Housing Code violation, if any. A City Housing Code violation is not a requirement for this program.
