On April 28th, Mayor Annette M. Blackwell and the Maple Heights Department of Human Services accepted delivery on a brand new Starcraft 12 Passenger Transit Van!
Mayor Blackwell presented a check to Mr. Dane Patterson, of Bus Services Incorporated that was partially paid for by a NOACA Federal Grant for Enhanced Mobility of Seniors and Individual with Disabilities (Section 5310) City of Maple Heights, Human Services Department and donations.
This van is a replacement vehicle, which will complete the city’s fleet of four senior transport vans. The vans are used to transport seniors within a 5-6 mile radius of the center of Maple Heights for medical transport, weekly grocery store trips, dialysis, and other various needs of the senior residents. It will be operational once the city logos and decals are added.
