Last week, at the City Council’s Ceremonial Swearing-In of newly elected City officials, Mayor Annette M. Blackwell took the oath of office for her third term.  Mayor Blackwell was joined by three City Councilmembers:  Councilwoman Toni Jones, District 2; Councilwoman Dana D. Anderson, District 4; and Councilwoman Tina Stafford-Marbury, District 6, who were also sworn in. The MHPD Honor Guard presented the Colors. Children from the Milkovich Middle School Choir sang The Star Spangled Banner, and ‘Lift Every Voice’’; while the Maple Heights Student Council led in the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance.  Rev. Dr. Terry Webb, Christian Unity Baptist Church offered the Invocation; and Ms. Sheffia Randall-Nickerson sang ‘I Look to You’, by Whitney Houston. Several other elected officials were in attendance, including H.Rep. Darnell T. Brewer, from State District 18.  Thank you to everyone who was in attendance for this wonderful event!
