On Friday, Governor Mike DeWine announced the recipients for the sixth round of the Ohio Crime Reduction Grant Program. The Maple Heights Police Department will receive $216,237.00 from this latest round of grants. MHPD is the only local law enforcement agency in Cuyahoga County to receive this state funding; and the grant awarded over $5.7 Million dollars to 16 local and state agencies. The funds will help pay for retention and recruitment of officers, as well as provide support for ongoing crime reduction initiatives.
