2023 ROAD REPAIR PROGRAM PROJECT UPDATE:

The 2023 Road Repair Program will resurface twenty-one (21) streets throughout the City. Additionally, paving will occur for the Food Pantry Parking Lot, the expansion of public parking at City Hall, and a pilot program to install temporary ‘Speed Tables’ in targeted residential areas to help reduce traffic speed. In order to determine which of these city streets would be included in this year’s $2.1 million dollar project, the Service Department and the City Engineer relied upon the citywide pavement inspection to help create the resurface pavement plan.  Four criterion were used to help make this determination:

1.)  ROADWAY CONDITION

2.)  AVAILABILITY OF OUTSIDE FUNDING SOURCES FOR PAVEMENT REPAIRS AND/OR OTHER PROJECTS WHICH WILL INCLUDE PAVEMENT REPAIRS

3.) EQUITABLE DISTRIBUTION OF ROADWAY CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUNDS THROUGHOUT THE REPRESENTATIVE COUNCIL DISTRICTS

4.) AMOUNT OF LOCAL SCMR FUNDS AVAILABLE

Each District Councilperson has been provided the results of these determinations. Please reach out to your District Councilperson directly for information about the street determination and the pavement schedule, as they will be able to answer your questions about the 2023 Road Repair Program Project.
