Project Description

  • The City of Maple Heights, working in cooperation with the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) will reconstruct Southgate Park Boulevard between Warrensville Center Road and Northfield Road.  The work will consist of  a 3 inch planing and resurfacing and the inclusion of 6-foot wide bike lanes with a 4-foot buffer within the existing pavement. The project also includes 2 mid-block Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons (RRFB) crossings, bike racks, signage and pavement markings including upgraded crosswalks, curbs/curb ramps, and sidewalk repairs where necessary.  The estimated project length is 0.57 mile.
  • The Stage 1-2 plans are complete and available for review upon request.  Traffic will be maintained during construction.

Anticipated Project Schedule

  • Design Complete/Approved – October 2025
    • Project Award – March 2026
    • Construction Start – April 2026
    • Construction Complete – September 2026
