On December 23, 1914, a total of 181 residents of the Maple Grove area cast their ballots on the question of whether to establish a new village: 122 said Yes, 59 said no. The following July, the residents of the new Village of Maple Heights elected their first mayor, treasurer, assessor, marshal, council, and board of education. Since 1915, the residents of Maple Heights have elected a mayor to represent them and move the city forward. Below is the list of Mayors of the City of Maple Heights.
