Project Overview
Estimated Project Timeline: July 2021 – March 2022
Total Project Cost: $533,000.00
The project scope includes constructing an elevator shaft and vestibule outside of City Hall, constructing a passageway to connect the 2nd floor hallway to the elevator shaft, and updates to restrooms to make ADA compliant. The vestibule connecting the elevator with City Hall also will limit the amount of hot air (in the summer months) and cold air (in the winter months) coming into City Hall each time the door is opened, resulting in energy savings.
The project is funded using Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), Community Development Supplemental Grant (CDSG), and Maple Heights General Fund dollars. In total, as of July 2021, $399,536.39 of the $533,000.00 total project costs have been paid for with the help of outside grant funds. Other grant funds are being pursued to help make the project a reality.
