Through the United States Small Business Administration (SBA), the following Federal resources are available to small businesses. The SBA’s Guide to Resources is available here: Small Business Guidance and Loan Resources.
Economic Disaster Injury Program
The Economic Disaster Injury Program can provide eligible small businesses with a working capital loan of up to $2 million at 3.75% interest for up to a maximum of 30 years. Apply for an SBA Economic Injury Disaster Loan.
**Please note that the Coronavirus Aid Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act authorizes up to a $10,000 advance to small businesses as an emergency capital grant through the Economic Disaster Injury Program. Please use the application link above to apply for the capital grant.**

Small Business Relief Grant
Grant application opens on Monday, November 2, 2020 at 10:00a. The first 50 businesses in Cuyahoga County that meet all the requirements will receive a $10,000 grant; following the first 50 businesses, grants will be awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis as funds are available. Eligible businesses must have a physical location in the State, be a for-profit entity, have no more than 25 total or FTE employees, and have been in continuous operation since January 1, 2020 (excluding Covid-19 interruptions as a result of public health orders). Some eligible uses of funds include PPE, utility payments, mortgage or rent payments, salaries, wages, or compensation. More information and the application are available at businesshelp.ohio.gov.
Bar and Restaurant Assistance Fund
Grant application opens on Monday, November 2, 2020, and is available to on-premise liquor permit holders. Roughly 30 permit types are eligible. More information and the application are available at businesshelp.ohio.gov.
JobsOhio and Department of Commerce Support Bars and Restaurants
To help bars and restaurants prepare to reopen, JobsOhio and the Ohio Department of Commerce are providing a $500 rebate to help restock high-proof spiritous liquor to eligible permits. There are more than 13,600 eligible permits in Ohio, totaling $6.8 million in potential rebates available to bars and restaurants. Maple Heights Building Department
While City Hall is not open to the public, the Maple Heights Building Department is open and processing permits and available to answer any questions you may have. Submit permits, applications, and fees via U.S. Mail or drop them off in the Building Department’s lockbox outside the main entrance to City Hall.
