DOWD AUTO & MARINE SUPPLY CELEBRATES 50 YEARS IN BUSINESS
Yesterday, Dowd Auto & Marine Supply celebrated 50 years in business here in Maple Heights. Located at 5324 Lee Road, Dowd Auto & Marine Supply opened for business on December 26th, 1972, becoming the well known and respected Maple Heights business of the present day.
This morning, Mayor Blackwell, in acknowledgement of this excellent achievement, presented Mr. Dan Dowd with a Key to the City. In congratulating Mr. Dowd, the Mayor praised Dowd, “A full half-century for Dowd Auto & Marine Supply operations in Maple Heights proves clearly that your family’s livelihood has impacted and heartened multiple generations of City residents. In more recent times, this accomplishment in it and of itself stands as a testament to your steadfast ability to endure. Whether the global COVID-19 pandemic or economic trends favoring larger “big box” stores over our family-owned businesses, your resilience is an inspiration for other aspiring entrepreneurs seeking to establish their state here in Maple Heights.”
