MAPLE HEIGHTS

The Fire Department will begin hydrant flushing on May 8.  Hydrant flushing information will be posted daily on the "Twitter" feed on the Home page of the website.

During flushing operations, it is not uncommon for residents in the flushing area to find their tap water appear cloudy. If this happens, we recommend running your faucet till the water comes clear.

Cleveland Water Department recommends you do not flow any dirty or rusty water, including the toilets, for one hour.  After that hour, start at the lowest level of the house (basement, if you have one, laundry tub) and turn on the cold water until the water runs clear.

In addition to flushing the hydrants, Eagle Scout Leroi Forte helped repainted numerous city hydrants in the fall of 2016. They will no longer be red with white tops, but will be changing to solid red.
